5G MIPS TO MIX HUMANS AND MACHINES
Project Initiated by Omron, NAiSE, Waitkus, and Nokia at the Arena 2036
TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS 2024, held on April 10–11 at Messe Dortmund, will feature the world premiere of the 5G Mobile Robots Interoperability Partner Solution Live Test (5G MIPS), where NAiSE will showcase mixed fleets of mobile robots, manually operated vehicles, and humans working together without safety fences. The project integrates VDA 5050-compliant and non-compliant robots, providing traffic control, order management, and traffic analysis, with contributions from Omron, Bosch Rexroth, WAITKUS, and Nokia. The event spans 10,000 m² with over 100 innovations in logistics and intralogistics, plus 18 panels and 30+ speakers covering automation, AI, robotics, and start-ups, highlighting the future of efficient, sustainable human-robot cooperation in intralogistics.
