NAiSE’s role in this research project
NAiSE plays a key role in the SynergieRegion project by providing the software and control systems for mobile intralogistics robots. Specifically, NAiSE implements the 5G emergency stop (Not-Halt) functionality, ensuring that robots can be immediately stopped remotely when entering virtual safety zones. This increases safety for operators, the environment, and the robots themselves. NAiSE’s contribution leverages the low latency and high reliability of 5G networks, improving performance compared to WLAN and LTE, and enables future autonomous robot operations within industrial and smart city environments.
